Casalegno S. (ed.) Global Warming Impacts - Case Studies on the Economy, Human Health, and on Urban and Natural Environments
InTech. 2011. 290 p.

This book addresses the theme of the impacts of global warming on different specific fields, ranging from the regional and global economy, to agriculture, human health, urban areas, land vegetation, marine areas and mangroves. Despite the volume of scientific work that has been undertaken in relation to each of each of these issues, the study of the impacts of global warming upon them is a relatively recent and unexplored topic. The chapters of this book offer a broad overview of potential applications of global warming science. As this science continues to evolve, confirm and reject study hypotheses, it is hoped that this book will stimulate further developments in relation to the impacts of changes in the global climate.

Facts on File, 2010, 264 pages Global warming and climate change are urgent topics. They are discussed on the news, in conversations, and are even the subjects of horror movies. Although the United States has been one of the largest contributors to global warming, it ranks far below countries and regions — such as Canada, Australia, and western Europe—in taking steps to fix the damage that has been done. Global Warming is a multivolume set that...

A Hodder Arnold Publication, 2000, 288 pages Extremely topical over recent years, global warming has been the subject of a huge and growing amount of literature. Current literature however tends to fall into two camps: that which is highly scientific in nature and inaccessible to the average student, and that which is directed to the "lay" reader and lacks detail required by students. This book successfully bridges this gap, prividing an access...

Facts on File, 2009, 340 Pages This title offers an objective look at the controversial topic of global warming. It is an undisputed fact that the Earth's climate is changing, and although the scientific community continues to debate the exact correlation between human activity and climatic change, there is now almost universal consensus that humankind directly impacts Earth's climate - an idea referred to as global warming. Scientists are cont...

Yale University Press, 2008, 234 pages. As scientific and observational evidence on global warming piles up every day, questions of economic policy in this central environmental topic have taken center stage. But as author and prominent Yale economist William Nordhaus observes, the issues involved in understanding global warming and slowing its harmful effects are complex and cross disciplinary boundaries. For example, ecologists see global warm...

Routledge, 1996, 238 pages Environmental Politics Global warming has become established as the major environmental issue on the international political agenda. It is also commonly understood to be the most difficult politically to solve. The entrenched interests of powerful industrial corporations as well as those of many nation-states are severely threatened by attempts to implement reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
