Софски Вольфганг. Порядок террора: концлагерь.
Англ. перевод вышедшего в 1993 г. и уже ставшего классическим труда известного немецкого социолога Вольфганга Софски о социальном пространстве концлагерной жизни. Основная мысль автора состоит в том, что абсолютная власть способна изменить естественные для человека характеристики бытия (осознание пространства, времени, своего Я, память, способность принимать решение и действовать, вступать во взаимодействие с окружающим миром), вследствие чего личность "сжимается" до уровня объекта подчинения. В работе проанализированы структура лагерного быта, условия возможного выживания. Дается объяснение того, почему некоторые узники, попав в лагерь еще до начала войны, пережили его без заметных психологических осложнений; какие факторы подталкивали других к организации пассивного и активного сопротивления; какова была логика осуществляемого СС террора и где он давал сбой.
Книга написана на пересeчении предметных областей истории, социологии и психологии.
