A study in the logographic Dongba script, used to record the Naxi language (a.k.a. Nakhi, Nasi, Lomi, Moso, or Mo-su), spoken in China. The book lists variants of Dongba logograms, together with their Chinese translation and Naxi IPA transcription.
Dongba characters used till 1950s by Naxi nationality in the Southwest of China is necessary and important part of our Chinese culture.
This is the first complete and systemic research on all variants in the book Naxi Pictograph Character Chart written by Fang Guoyu. Not only does it devote slightly to the Naxi Written Linguistics but also provides certain reference to the general written linguistics, comparative written linguistics, the written history and other nations’ written linguistics. 本书共分为以下几个部分:
第一章绪论部分着重分析了东巴文异体字研究的意义、历史及以往相关厂研究的不足,对东巴文异体字的宝义、工作处理方法以及其他一些相关问题作了说明。
第二章是对东巴文异体字的量的统计;第三章主要对东巴文异体字的结构类型进行了探讨;第四章是在前一章相关问题探讨的基础上展开的,主要对同字异体字之间结构类型的组合情况用了调查;第五章中主要讨论了东巴文异体字初形的确立问题;第六章主要对相关理论问题作了一些较为深入的探讨。
