Gorbunov D.S., Rubakov V.A. Introduction to the Theory of the Early Universe: Hot Big Bang Theory
World Scientific, 2011. - 488 p.
This book is written from the viewpoint of a deep connection between cosmology and particle physics. It presents the results and ideas on both the homogeneous and isotropic Universe at the hot stage of its evolution and in later stages. The main chapters describe in a systematic and pedagogical way established facts and concepts on the early and the present Universe. The comprehensive treatment, hence, serves as a mode introduction to this rapidly developing field of science. To help in reading the chapters without having to constantly consult other texts, essential materials from General Relativity and the theory of elementary particles are collected in the appendices. Various hypotheses dealing with unsolved problems of cosmology, and often alteative to each other, are discussed at a more advanced level. These conce dark matter, dark energy, matter-antimatter asymmetry, etc.

CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY PRESS, Cambridge, 1988, 149 Pages Kinetic Theory in the Expanding Universe is a self-contained exposition of the applications of kinetic theory to basic problems in modern cosmology, such as the role of stable and unstable massive neutrinos and the theory of cosmological helium production. There has been rapid development of the theory of the origin and evolution of the universe in recent years, stimulated, in large part, b...

Wiley-Praxis Series in astronomy and astrophysics, John Wiley & Sons, 1997, - 205 pages. Cosmology is the study of the Universe as a whole. The currently accepted framework of how the Universe began and subsequently evolved is a collection of interrelated theories known generically as the Big Bang. It is this collection of the theories which we will be presenting in this book.

Cambridge University Press, 2000, 326 Pages Molecular hydrogen is the most abundant molecule in the Universe. In recent years, advances in theory and laboratory experiments coupled with breakthrough observations with important new telescopes and satellites have revolutionized our understanding of molecular hydrogen in space. It is now possible to address the question of how molecular hydrogen formed in the early Universe and the role it played in...

And if we can’t see black holes, how can we be confident they exist? Gravitational physicist David Garfinkle and his brother, science fiction writer Richard Garfinkle, tackle these questions and more in Three Steps to the Universe, a tour through some of the most complex phenomena in the cosmos and an accessi...

Springer, 2007, 428 pages Some 25 years after the birth of inflationary cosmology this volume sets out to provide a both authoritative and pedagogical introduction and review of the state of the field. Cosmic inflation corresponds to an episode of accelerated expansion of the very early universe and solves nicely a collection of puzzles that had plagued standard cosmology so far. Different scenarios exist, though, and the reader will learn abou...

Cambridge University Press, 2010. - 205 pp. Most astronomers and physicists now believe that the matter content of the Universe is dominated by dark matter: hypothetical particles which interact with normal matter primarily through the force of gravity. Though invisible to current direct detection methods, dark matter can explain a variety of astronomical observations. This book describes how this theory has developed over the past 75 years, and...
