Учебник латинского языка древних надписей, изданный в 1897 году, не потерял актуальности и в XXI веке.
Учебник состоит из четырёх частей:
Ранний период и начало литературы.
Литература периода республики.
Век Цицерона и ранней империи. Классическая латынь.
Латынь периода империи и поздняя латынь.
Каждая часть предваряется введением в грамматику языка соответствующего периода, таким образом, первую часть можно с успехом можно использовать как справочник по древней латыни.
