Adachi S. Properties of Semiconductor Alloys: Group-IV, III-V and II-VI Semiconductors
Wile, Chichester, 2009, 400 pages
The main purpose of this book is to pre a comprehensive treatment of the materials aspects of group-IV, III?V and II?VI semiconductor alloys used in various electronic and optoelectronic devices. The topics covered in this book include the structural, thermal, mechanical, lattice vibronic, electronic, optical and carrier transport properties of such semiconductor alloys. The book reviews not only commonly known alloys (SiGe, AlGaAs, GaInPAs, and ZnCdTe) but also new alloys, such as dilute-carbon alloys (CSiGe, CSiSn, etc.), III?N alloys, dilute-nitride alloys (GaNAs and GaInNAs) and Mg- or Be-based II?VI semiconductor alloys. Finally there is an extensive bibliography included for those who wish to find additional information as well as tabulated values and graphical information on the properties of semiconductor alloys.

2nd ed. - Springer-Verlag, Berlin, 2010, 570 p. This book presents a detailed description of the basic physics of semiconductors. All the important equations describing the properties of these materials are derived without the help of other textbooks. The reader is assumed to have only a basic command of mathematics and some elementary semiconductor physics. The text covers a wide range of important semiconductor phenomena, from the simple to the...

2004. - 453 p. The electronic properties of semiconductors form the basis of the latest and current technological revolution, the development of ever smaller and more powerful computing devices, which affect not only the potential of modern science but practically all aspects of our daily life. This dramatic development is based on the ability to engineer the electronic properties of semiconductors and to miniaturize devices down to the limits se...

2nd ed. Springer, 2005. - 797 p. The book on Semiconductor Optics has been favourably received by the students and the scientific community worldwide. After the first edition, which appeared in 1995 several reprints became necessary starting from 1997, one of them for the Chinese market. They contained only rather limited updates of the material and corrections. In the meantime scientific progress brought a lot of new results, which necessitate a...

World Scientific Publishing, 2005. - 262 p. - The increasing complexity of problems in semiconductor electronics and optoelectronics has exposed the insufficient potential of the technological doping processes currently used. One of the most promising techniques, which this book explores, is radiation doping: the intentional, directional modification of the properties of semiconductors under the action of various types of radiation. The authors c...
