Mourachkine A. Room-Temperature Superconductivity
Название: A. Mourachkine, Room-Temperature Superconductivity.
Издательство: Cambridge Inteational.
Год: 2004.
ISBN: 1904602274.
This is the first book on the subject of room-temperature superconductivity. The main purpose of the book is twofold. First, to show that, under suitable conditions, superconductivity can occur above room temperature. Second, to present general guidelines how to synthesize a room-temperature superconductor. The book begins with an introduction into the physics of the superconducting state and superconducting materials. Then, the mechanisms of conventional, half-conventional and unconventional superconductivity are discussed in the following chapters. The last three chapters of the book are devoted to room-temperature superconductivity. In Chapter 2, an attempt to review the basic properties of the superconducting state independently of any specific mechanism is made for the first time. In addition, four principles of superconductivity valid for any type of superconductivity are introduced in Chapter 4.

Название: S. Blundell, Superconductivity - A Very Short Introduction. Издательство:Oxford University Press. Год: 2009. ISBN: 019954090X. Superconductivity--the flow of electric current without resistance in certain materials as temperatures near absolute zero--is one of the greatest discoveries of 20th century physics, but it can seem impenetrable to those who lack a solid scientific background. Outlining the fascinating history of how supercondu...

2003. - 122 p. Superconductivity is one of the most fascinating chapters of modern physics. It has been a continuous source of inspiration for different realms of physics and has shown a tremendous capacity of cross-fertilization, to say nothing of its numerous technological applications. Before giving a more accurate definition of this phenomenon let us however briefly sketch the historical path leading to it. Two were the main steps in the disc...

2001. - 374 p. Flux quantization experiments indicate that the carriers, Cooper pairs (pairons), in the supercurrent have charge magnitude 2e, and that they move independently. Josephson interference in a Superconducting Quantum Interference Device (SQUID) shows that the centers of masses (CM) of pairons move as bosons with a linear dispersion relation. Based on this evidence we develop a theory of superconductivity in conventional and high-Tc ma...

Springer, 2005 This is an advanced textbook for graduate students and researchers wishing to learn about high temperature superconductivity in copper oxides, in particular the Kamimura-Suwa (K-S) model. Because a number of models have been proposed since the discovery of high temperature superconductivity by Bednorz and M?ller in 1986, the book first explains briefly the historical development that led to the K-S model. It then focuses on the...

Cambridge University Press, 1999, 498 c. This is a text on the subject of superconductivity, an area of intense research activity worldwide. The book is in three parts: the first deals with phenomenological aspects of superconductivity, the second with the microscopic theory of uniform superconductors, and the third with the microscopic theory of nonuniform superconductors. The first part of the book covers the London, Pippard, and Ginzburg-La...

Oxford University Press, 2001 This is the first text on the modern theory of superconductivity. It deals with the behavior of superconductors in external fields varying in time, and with transport phenomena in superconductors. The text starts with the fundamentals of the first-principle, microscopic theory of superconductivity, and guides the reader through the modern theoretical analysis to applications of the theory to practical problems. The m...
