Yi Lin. General Systems Theory: A Mathematical Approach
The overall trend of mode science and technology is to synthesize all areas of knowledge into a few major blocks. Another characteristic is that the esthetic standard of scientific workers has been changing constantly. They ask, How can they equip themselves with the newest knowledge? How can they handle new knowledge, the amount of which has been increasing in a geometric series? According to Quastler, systems methodology is essentially the establishment of a structural foundation for four kinds of theories of organization: cybeetics, game theory, decision theory, and information theory.

L. von Bertalanffy, General System Theory—A Critical Review, «General Sys-tems», vol. VII, 1962, p. 1— 20. Перевод Н. С.

Springer, 1998, -282 pp. The present book apparently falls outside of the scope of the LNCS series: the theory of dynamical systems is mainly used for systems defined by, say, differential equations, and very little for programs. Yet, to consider programs as dynamical systems sheds light at least on the relationship between discrete-time systems and continuous-time ones; this is an important issue in the area of hybrid systems, wher...

There has been explosive growth in interest in physical, biological and economic systems that can be profitably studied using densities. Due to the inaccessibility of the mathematical literature there has been little diffusion of...
