A multi-agent system (MAS) is a system composed of multiple interacting intelligent agents. Multi-agent systems can be used to solve problems which are diffi cult or impossible for an individual agent or monolithic system to solve. Agent systems are open and extensible systems that allow for the deployment of autonomous and proactive soft ware components. Multi-agent systems have been brought up and used in several application domains. This book is a collection 24 excellent works on multi-agent systems divided into four sections: Multi-Agent Systems Modeling; Control, Negotiation, Reasoning, Tracking and Networking on Agents Environments; Multi-Agent Systems Programming and Multi-Agent Systems Simulation and Applications.

Part 1 Multi-Agent Systems Modeling
Requirements Modeling for Multi-Agent Systems
A Multi-Agent System Architecture for Sensor Networks
Modeling Artificial Life Through Multi-Agent Based Simulation

Multi agent systems involve a team of agents working together socially to accomplish a task. An agent can be social in many ways. One is when an agent helps others in solving complex problems. The field of multi agent systems investigates the process underlying distributed problem so...
