S?u?alec Andrzej Theory of Thermomechanical Processes in Welding
Netherlands Dordrecht, Springer, 2005, 174 p.
ISBN 1-4020-2990-X (HB)
ISBN 1-4020-2991-8 (e-book)

The main purpose of this book is to provide a unified and systematic continuum approach to engineers and applied physicists working on models of deformable welding material. The key concept is to consider the welding material as an thermodynamic system.
Significant achievements include thermodynamics, plasticity, fluid flow and numerical methods.
Having chosen point of view, this work does not intend to reunite all the information on the welding thermomechanics. The attention is focused on the deformation of welding material and its coupling with thermal effects.
Welding is the process where the interrelation of temperature and deformation appears throughout the influence of thermal field on material properties and modification of the extent of plastic zones. Thermal effects can be studied with coupled or uncoupled theories of thermomechanical response. A majority of welding problems can be satisfactorily studied within an uncoupled theory. In such an approach the temperature enters the stress-strain relation through the thermal dilatation and influences the material constants. The heat conduction equation and the relations goveing the stress field are considered separately.

This European Standard was approved by CEN on 28 February 2003. 14p. This European Standard gives general recommendations for welding of clad steels by means of appropriate arc welding processes and electroslag strip cladding. It is generally applicable to all clad steels and is appropriate regardless of the type of fabrication involved, although the application standard may have additional requirements. Non-ferrous claddings, such as titanium, t...

2002, - 236 p. The book provides a basic understanding of the metallurgical principles involved in how alloys achieve their strength and how welding can affect these properties. I have included sections on parent metal storage and preparation prior to welding and have also described the more frequently encountered processes. There are recommendations on welding parameters that may be used as a starting point for the development of a viable weldin...
