Semantic and stylistic peculiarities of phrasal verbs with the particle up.

The graduation paper examines the semantic and stylistic peculiarities of phrasal verbs with the particle up. The research deals with classifications of phrasal verbs into lexico-semantic groups and their further division into subgroups. The paper also explores the semantic role of the particle up and a meaning created as a result of its blending with the base verb.
The paper consists of an introduction, the theoretical part (Chapter I), the practical part (Chapter II), conclusions, bibliography and a bibliography.
of the research investigates some theoretical features of phrasal verbs including its historical and mode definition, linguistic status, their structure and categories.
deals with different semantic and stylistic characteristics of phrasal verbs with the particle up. In this chapter the attention is drown to such characteristics of phrasal verbs as terminativeness and durativeness, their affiliation with different manners of action and lexico-semantic groups. The stylistic peculiarities of phrasal verbs are also touched upon. The analysis is based on the sample of phrasal verbs with the particle up which includes 115 units.
n the conclusion the results of the research are presented.
