were considered: escaped burns into forested areas, effect of logging roads on fire 
frequency, duration between felling and germination (1 to 2 years), and the diesel 
fuel used by the log skidders and loaders. These influences can be included in GIS 
data for landscape-scale analyses using 
CAR4D and visualized from animated output 
such as in Colour Plate 5.
