ASSEMBLING INSTRUCTIONS - REFRISTAR PROCEDURE

6 Mark the socket and the hose using an indelible

felt tip pen, to verify any absence of hose rotation

inside the socket during the fittings crewing.

Marque el socket y la manguera usando un lapicero

de felpa con tinta indeleble, para verificar que la

manguera no rote dentro del socket durante el

proceso de inserción del racor.

7 Position the hose complete with socket i.e. by

using a bench vise. Lubricate by a generous

amount of oil the threading and the taper of

the fitting as well as the inside of hose.

WARNING: Use the same lubricant used in

the A/C system.

Coloque la manguera completa con el socket por

ejemplo usando una prensa. Lubrique con una

generosa cantidad de aceite la superficie del cono

y del racor así como el interior de la manguera.

PRECAUCION: Utilice el mismo lubricante

usado en el sistema de aire acondicionado.

8 Insert the fitting into the hose. Press slightly

and screw by hand turning clockwise the first

threads. Then by using an appropriate spanner

or a screwspanner on the hexagon, screw the

fitting into the socket with a continuos and

constant rotation motion and verify any absence

of hose rotation inside the socket during the

fitting screwing. Complete the screwing until the

fitting reaches the bottom against the socket.

Never overtighten. Assembling is now finished.

Inserte el racor dentro de la manguera. Presione

ligeramente y atornille con la mano moviendo en

dirección a las agujas del reloj los primeros fila-

mentos. Luego usando una llave de tuercas apro-

piada sobre el hexágono, atornille el racor dentro

del socket con un movimiento de rotación conti-

nuo y constante y verifique que la manguera no

haya rotado dentro del socket durante el proceso

de inserción. Complete el ajuste hasta que el racor

llegue al fondo contra el socket. Nunca lo apriete

demasiado. El ensamble está ahora terminado.

9 It’s acceptable to leave a margin of max 3 mm

between the hexagon of the fitting and the

socket. Verify allignment.

Es aceptable dejar un margen de máximo 3 mm

entre el hexágono del racor y el socket. Verifique la

alineación.

It is important that hose assemblies for A/C Vehicles (for instance off highway), A/C Buses and

Mobile Refrigeration using Manuli Hose, Ferrules & Fittings are manufactured to the procedures below:

1 Check the dimensions of the components.

Verifique las dimensiones de los componentes.

4 Cut the hose by using a proper sharpened disc

(see fig. 4), do not use an abrasive disc. The

hose must be square and clean cut. Avoid cutting

the hose not perpendicularly or cutting the hose

causing damages on its wire braid (see fig. 2, 3)

for a proper cutting hose operation. Clean the

hose carefully from any cutting residue.

Corte la manguera usando el disco afilado apropiado

(ver fig. 4). No use un disco abrasivo. La manguera

debe estar cortada a escuadra y limpia. Asegúrese

5 Place the ferrule on the flexible hose in such a

way that the tooth comes contact with the end

of the hose that has been cut.

6 Lubricate the end of the coupling joint with the

same oil used in the air conditioning system.

Lubrique la punta del racor con el mismo aceite

usado en el sistema de aire acondicionado.

7 Find the correct orientation and insert completely

the fitting into the hose.

Encuentre la orientación correcta e inserte

completamente el racor en la manguera.

8 Set up the crimping machine selecting the

dieset that is closed to the dimension specified.

Crimp to the specified diameter. Ensure the

dies fully covers the ferrule length.

Acondicione la máquina crimpadora seleccionando

el conjunto de dados que más se acerque a la

dimensión especificada. Crimpe al diámetro

especificado. Asegúrese que los dados cubran

totalmente la longitud del casquillo.

9 Inspect the crimping dimension using a calibra-

ted vernier. Check the diameter at the centre of

the ferrule following the values on the table b.

Inspeccione la dimensión de crimpado usando un

vernier calibrado. Verifique el diámetro en el centro

The fitting operations are extremely simple, and consist of the following procedures:

1 Check the dimensions of the components.

2 Cut the end of the hose in a perpendicular

direction, using the manual cutter.

Corte la manguera en dirección perpendicular,

4 Lubrificate the end of the coupling joint with

the same oil used in the air conditioning

system.

Lubrique los extremos (mangueras y racores)

con el mismo aceite usado en el sistema del aire

acondicionado.

3 Verify the end of the hose to be cut in a

perpendicular direction.

Verifique que la manguera ha sido cortada en

dirección perpendicular.

5 Find the correct orientation and insert

completely the fitting into the hose.

6 Check the correct position of the hose through

the proper hole in the ferrule.

Compruebe la correcta posición de la manguera a

través del orificio en el casquillo.

7 Set up the criping machine selecting the die set

that is closed to the dimension specified

diameter. Place the fitting on the proper

positioner to ensure that it is in the correct

position (table c).

Prepara la máquina seleccionando las mordazas

adecuadas para prensar el diámetro especificado.

Ponga el racor en la máquina y verifique que está

en la posición correcta (tabla c).

8 Inspect the crimping dimension using the

proper calibrated vernier. Check the dimensions

following the values in table c.

Inspeccione el diámetro de prensado usando el
