American society of civil engineers, 1989 год. 580 стр.
Contents:
Division I. Planning
Division II. Design
Part A. Dams and Related Topics
Part D. Environmental
Civil Engineering Guidelines for Planning and Designing Hydroelectric Developments was prepared under the auspices of the Hydropower Committee of the ASCE Energy Division. The Guidelines is divided into five volumes. Volume 4 has not been published yet.
The first volume conces the planning and designing of dams and related topics, and environmental issues. Volume 2 discusses the design of waterways including such elements as intakes, tunnels and shafts, penstocks, surge tanks, and gates. Volume 3 covers the design of powerhouses and related topics. While the first three volumes deal with conventional hydroelectric projects, the fourth volume is conceed with the planning, designing, and construction of small-scale hydroelectric projects. The last volume provides information on the planning, designing, operation and maintenance of elements conceed with pumped storage. This volume ends with a discussion on different aspects of tidal power including design and construction considerations. Thus, the Guidelines provides comprehensive coverage and the necessary information on the type and depth of studies needed for developing and designing hydroelectric projects.
