Translation has a long history. The roots, he goes back to that distant time when the Proto began to disintegrate into separate languages, and originated need of those who knew several languages and able to act the role of intermediaries in the communication between representatives of different linguistic communities.
Nevertheless, for several reasons, particularly because of its interdisciplinary nature, shape translate into an independent science only in the early twentieth century. With increased inteational contacts and exchange of information translation studies has developed rapidly and currently enjoys status of an independent scientific discipline with its theoretical basis, conceptual and terminological apparatus.
