Krylov. Lectures on elliptic and parabolic equations on Sobolev spaces
2008. American Mathematical Society - 378 pages.
This book concentrates on the basic facts and ideas of the mode theory of linear elliptic and parabolic equations in Sobolev spaces. The main areas covered in this book are the first boundary-value problem for elliptic equations and the Cauchy problem for parabolic equations. In addition, other boundary-value problems such as the Neumann or oblique derivative problems are briefly covered. As is natural for a textbook, the main emphasis is on organizing well-known ideas in a self-contained exposition. Among the topics included that are not usually covered in a textbook are a relatively recent development conceing equations with $\textsf{VMO}$ coefficients and the study of parabolic equations with coefficients measurable only with respect to the time variable. There are numerous exercises which help the reader better understand the material. After going through the book, the reader will have a good understanding of results available in the mode theory of partial differential equations and the technique used to obtain them. Prerequisites are basics of measure theory, the theory of $L_p$ spaces, and the Fourier transform.

Springer, 2010. - 199 pages. Semilinear elliptic equations are of fundamental importance for the study of geometry, physics, mechanics, engineering and life sciences. The variational approach to these equations has experienced spectacular success in recent years, reaching a high level of complexity and refinement, with a multitude of applications. Additionally, some of the simplest variational methods are evolving as classical tools in the field...

Sрringer, 1993. - 402 pages. Mathematicians have only recently begun to understand the local structure of solutions of degenerate and singular parabolic partial differential equations. The problem originated in the mid '60s with the work of DeGiorgi, Moser, Ladyzenskajia and Uraltzeva. This book will be an account of the developments in this field over the past five years. It evolved out of the 1990-Lipschitz Lectures given by Professor DiBened...

American Mathematical Society, 1998. - 662 pages. This text gives a comprehensive survey of modern techniques in the theoretical study of partial differential equations (PDEs) with particular emphasis on nonlinear equations. The exposition is divided into three parts: 1) representation formulas for solutions, 2) theory for linear partial differential equations, and 3) theory for nonlinear partial differential equations. Included are complete tr...

John Wiley & Sons, 1982. - 710 Pages. This advanced graduate-level text examines variational methods in partial differential equations and illustrates their applications to a number of free-boundary problems. Detailed statements of the standard theory of elliptic and parabolic operators make this treatment readable for engineers, students, and nonspecialists alike. Each chapter concludes with several problems and exercises.

Second Edition. Springer, 2007. - 356 pages. This book is intended for students who wish to get an introduction to the theory of partial differential equations. The author focuses on elliptic equations and systematically develops the relevant existence schemes, always with a view towards nonlinear problems. These are maximum principle methods (particularly important for numerical analysis schemes), parabolic equations, variational methods, and c...
