Fekan M. Bifurcation and Chaos in Discontinuous and Continuous Systems
Springer, 2011. - 390 pages.

"Bifurcation and Chaos in Discontinuous and Continuous Systems" provides rigorous mathematical functional-analytical tools for handling chaotic bifurcations along with precise and complete proofs together with concrete applications presented by many stimulating and illustrating examples. A broad variety of nonlinear problems are studied involving difference equations, ordinary and partial differential equations, differential equations with impulses, piecewise smooth differential equations, differential and difference inclusions, and differential equations on infinite lattices as well.

This book is intended for mathematicians, physicists, theoretically inclined engineers and postgraduate students either studying oscillations of nonlinear mechanical systems or investigating vibrations of strings and beams, and electrical circuits by applying the mode theory of bifurcation methods in dynamical systems.

Dr. Michal Fe?kan is a Professor at the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Numerical Mathematics on the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics at the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. He is working on nonlinear functional analysis, bifurcation theory and dynamical systems with applications to mechanics and vibrations.

Название: Lorenz E. , The Essence of Chaos. Издательство: University of Washington. Год: 1996. ISBN-10: 0295975148. The study of chaotic systems has become a major scientific pursuit in recent years, shedding light on the apparently random behaviour observed in fields as diverse as climatology and mechanics. InThe Essence of Chaos Edward Lorenz, one of the founding fathers of Chaos and the originator of its seminal concept of the Butterfly Effect...

Cambridge University Press, 1991. - 377 Pages. Surveying both theoretical and experimental aspects of chaotic behavior, this book presents chaos as a model for many seemingly random processes in nature. Basic notions from the theory of dynamical systems, bifurcation theory and the properties of chaotic solutions are then described and illustrated by examples. A review of numerical methods used both in studies of mathematical models and in the i...

Springer, 1991. - 178 Pages. Limit cycles or, more general, periodic solutions of nonlinear dynamical systems occur in many different fields of application. Although, there is extensive literature on periodic solutions, in particular on existence theorems, the connection to physical and technical applications needs to be improved. The bifurcation behavior of periodic solutions by means of parameter variations plays an important role in transitio...

Oxford University Press, 2007, 180 pages Chaos exists in systems all around us. Even the simplest system can be subject to chaos, denying us accurate predictions of its behavior, and sometimes giving rise to astonishing structures of large-scale order. Here, Leonard Smith shows that we all have an intuitive understanding of chaotic systems. He uses accessible math and physics to explain Chaos Theory, and points to numerous examples in philosoph...

Many of these systems have been only recently dis...
